FiOS Availability
Verizon is putting all their resources into expanding the FiOS network. Even still,
many people will not see FiOS in their area for some time. To make it more difficult,
they first must receive a franchise agreement from each local government, and fight
the lobbying pressure put on by cable companies. Since the cable companies know FiOS will
greatly affect their market share, they'll do everything they can to block
Verizon's television service.
If you're not sure where FiOS is available or planned for future development, the following list provides some insight.
If your state is not listed, then check back for future developments. To see actual locations
of current FiOS subscribers, check out
http://www.dslreports.com/gmaps/fios. Regardless of what this list or any other says, the only way to get FiOS
is to check your phone number or address at www.verizonfios.com.
Also, you may find individual user comments from different locations from this article
on fios tv.
