Common Questions
Does Verizon High Speed Internet require Verizon home phone service?
NO. Verizon DSL does not require home phone service. You can use a mobile phone,
VOIP, or have no phone service at all. However, if you want to get the maximum savings,
you'll need Verizon home phone service. For example the $17.99/month price and price
guarantee is only available with new or existing Verizon home phone service. Without
home phone service the same plan is $19.99/month and is only guaranteed for one
year. Obvioulsy the Triple Play deal would not be a triple play without home phone
service, so it does require Verizon home phone service.
What channels to I get with Verizon Triple Play?
Verizon Triple Play includes TV service provided by DirecTV®. There are few different
service options, depending on the bundle you choose. The $74.99/month bundle includes
the DirecTV® Choice package. To determine the actual channels included in your package,
see here: DirecTV® Channel Lineup
Will I need to buy equipment or pay for installation for DirecTV® service?
NO. With Verizon Triple Play, you can get free standard installation of a DIRECTV® System in up to 4 rooms of your home. This includes a satellite dish and up to 4 leased standard receivers. There is a lease fee of $5.00/month for each reciever
after the first. A 2-year programming commitment is required to receive the free
installation included up to four receivers. To see what your monthly charges will
be, use the Verizon Online Order System
What's the deal with Verizon FiOS? Can I get that instead?
Verizon FiOS is a new service
from Verizon that offers broadband internet, high-quality
TV service, and traditional phone service over an all-new fiber optic network. Currently
it is being deployed in parts of Verizon's service areas in California, Delaware,
Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington DC. The
